Soft Steve #2 "pixelplate"
gingerbreadcam pinhole cam, paper negative, 7-sec exposure, "pixelplate" aperture, developed in Caffenol C
Well, my latest project is to explore the use of zoneplates in my homemade photography. it's been quite a week of learning!
I found the Whiz Kid Technomagic Zone Plate Designer website and made some zoneplates of different characteristics for the focal length of my new pinhole camera, the gingerbreadcam. I incorrectly configured the resolution on to a pdf file for my local Staples printing service to print on to clear transparency sheet, and ended up with "pixelplates"- a low-resolution, pixelated versions of the zone plate file.
Since then, I correctly configured the resolution of my zone plate files, but now the difficulty is getting them printed correctly. (The person who helped me doesn't know how to change the printer resolution, or perhaps, how to uncheck the "stretch to fit" button on his settings).
So in the meantime, till I find another printing solution, I tried a pixelated version of my zoneplates today. This is a "pixelplate", not a zoneplate, but I'm 1/2 way there, and I sort of like it. (-:
